Conference Sponsorship

Dear Friend of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association:

You are invited to collaborate with us through your presence, sponsorship and support. Please join us for this groundbreaking opportunity to be a positive force in improving relations and understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples and communities. Together we will dialogue, create, and celebrate the Indigenous Roots of the Expressive Arts to promote healing and social change.

Our conference will allow up to 500 delegates from around the world an experiential engagement in the Indigenous Roots of Expressive Arts. We will feature outings to explore Indigenous teachings on the land, as well as relevant workshops by esteemed Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders in social change through art, who work to preserve, understand and share Indigenous arts and culture.

Keynote presenters include Elder Dave Courchene, the founder of Turtle Lodge in Sagkeeng First Nation; Dr. Niigaan James Sinclair, Head of the Department of Native Studies at the University of Manitoba; as well as cross-cultural teacher and co-founder of the International Expressive Arts Association Dr. Kate Donohue who will present on her work in India and Africa in collaboration with local artists Casimiro Nhussi and Nandita Selvenathan.

This event will be of particular interest to teachers, therapists, clinicians, artists, social workers, community agencies, politicians, social justice advocates, social planners, scholars in Expressive Arts and Indigenous Studies and anyone interested in creating a more ethical, healthy and socially conscious community.

Sponsors may also be interested in partnering to present a large scale live streamed public event the Friday evening of the conference, with world recognized Indigenous artists sharing their talents in a performance followed by a panel discussion.
